Usyk’s promoter is confident that the Briton will not give up the fight for the title of absolute champion
Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usykbelieves that the WBC title holder Tyson Fury will return to the ring soon to fight for the title of absolute champion.
“I’m pretty sure Tyson will come back. He is not old, he is only 32 or 33 years old. He is a very young man, but he has achieved a lot in heavyweight in professional boxing. Fury held the titles that Usyk now owns. Now he owns the fourth belt – green from the WBC, ”Krasyuk said in an interview with the SecondsOut YouTube channel.
“Fury may say that he has collected the entire collection of belts, but he never owned them all. And it’s not about victory, money or fame, but about heritage, history. Tyson is a real man, a fighter, a warrior, he has a very big heart.”
“I’m pretty sure the money means little to him. But legacy is what you leave behind. It remains even when you die. So I’m pretty sure a man like him wouldn’t be able to turn down a fight.”
But promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Tyson Fury will return to the ring only for the big money.
Fury said earlier that he might consider returning to the ring after the second fight between Usyk and Joshua. The Briton believes that the fight with the winner will bring a lot of income.
Recall that Fury announced his retirement after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
