The Ukrainian is ready for an exciting fight
Former world champion in three weight categories, Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko commented on the upcoming fight for the IBF lightweight title against George Kambosos.
“Kambosos is a very strong fighter. This is a boxer who will never be easy to fight.”
“George will always fight. One of his strengths is that he never gives up. We have similar styles. It’s the styles that make the fights.”
“For me, the fight with Kambosos is a chance to be back on top and become a champion. I’ll get in the ring and just do my job.”
Previously, Kambosos called the Ukrainian one of the greatest champions of all time and a future member of the Hall of Fame. The Australian, having analyzed Lomachenko’s last fight with Devin Haney, believes that there are “holes” in the Ukrainian’s actions, and he is ready to demonstrate them.
The fight between Vasily and George will take place on May 12. The event, which also includes two undercard fights, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, starting at approximately 5 a.m. Kyiv time.
Let us remember that in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world champion. In turn, Kambosos defeated Briton Maxi Hughes in his last fight, winning the IBO lightweight title.
