Earlier, Guruli said that he was offered a big reward before the final match of the European Championship against Russian Tarkhan Idigov. In the fight in the weight category up to 67 kg, the Russian won ahead of schedule: Guruli refused to enter the third round. At the award ceremony, the representative of Georgia removed his medal, after which he shook hands with everyone, including Idigov, and refused to take a joint photo with all the medalists.

– It’s just hype. In this fight, the boxer gave up and refused to continue. Yes, the judges’ decision in the first round was controversial, in my opinion. But Lasha lost the second round, after which he quit without continuing the fight. It speaks of him as a fighter. Let him remember the 2018 European Championship in Romania, where, having lost, he won a victory with a Turk, where he achieved dubious victories.
