Tuguev and Velieva became seven-time Russian wrestling champions

Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Zaur Uguev became a seven-time champion of Russia, winning the pre-Olympic tournament in the Moscow region.

Uguev, competing in the weight category up to 61 kg, defeated Bashir Magomedov in the final. The bronze medalists were Viktor Yakovlev and Artem Gobaev.

In the weight category up to 92 kg, Alan Bagaev won gold, Askhab Saadullaev took second place, Konstantin Pshenichnikov and Gadzhimagomed Nazhmudinov took third place.

Khanum Velieva won the weight category up to 68 kg and became a seven-time national champion in women’s wrestling. Vusala Parfianovich won silver, Elizaveta Petlyakova and Ksenia Burakova won bronze.

The remaining results of the Russian Championship are as follows:

women’s wrestling, up to 50 kg: 1. Nadezhda Sokolova; 2. Elizaveta Smirnova; 3. Natalya Pudova and Maria Tyumerekova;

women’s wrestling, up to 55 kg: 1. Alexandra Skirenko; 2. Ekaterina Verbina; 3. Ekaterina Lykova and Ekaterina Poleshchuk;

women’s wrestling, up to 59 kg: 1. Anastasia Sidelnikova; 2. Svetlana Lipatova; 3. Evgenia Ogorodnikova and Ulyana Tukurenova.
