Highlight of UFC 301, held in Brazil, Michel Pereira explains his style and talks about another victory this year, the second in 2024
UFC 301, held in Rio de Janeiro last Saturday, 4th, had as its highlight Michel Pereirawho won Ihor Potieria by submission just 54 seconds into the fight. After that, the Brazilian spoke at the event about his plan for the fight and explained his next steps towards the organization’s belt.
“I’m ready again, because I didn’t hurt anything, I didn’t take any punches. I’m ready to fight again. Whoever the UFC puts in I will fight. I think now they’re going to give me a more ranked guy, but I’m a UFC showman, I’m ready to put on a show and that’s what I’m doing“, said Pereira, looking forward to his next appointment.

Afterwards, Michel also commented on the strategy for the fight, which matched his style, with acrobatics shown right before the guillotine submission. Talking about the moment, he admitted that it was a risk, like everything inside the octagon, but that he would not give up doing so when he had the opportunity.
“It’s my style of fighting, everything has a risk and that’s how I am. I always take risks and that’s why I’m growing, that’s why I’m a UFC showman today. This is my way of fighting“, added Michel Pereira about the last fight.
Now, the Brazilian is already thinking about a quick recovery and preparing for the new fight, which would be his third in 2024. Before that, he also won Michal Oleksiejczuk by submission, with just over 1 minute of fight. He continues to seek a place in the middleweight rankings, to get closer to fighting for the belt.
