Kambosos: I have developed an amazing plan for the fight with Lomachenko

George is extremely motivated ahead of the fight with the Ukrainian

Australian boxer George Kambososformer absolute world lightweight champion, shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight with the ex-champion in three weight categories, Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko.

“I have an amazing plan for this fight and I had a great training camp. I’ve had amazing sparring partners who emulate Lomachenko. I’ve studied it from A to Z. I’m able to adapt to a guy like Lomachenko.”

“Lomachenko has a great IQ and great legs, but he also likes to go forward. We have our own tricks up our sleeves. We’re going to wait and see what he’s going to do. I will be ready to adapt to any action.”

“I am very explosive and dynamic. I’m not afraid of a single person. My resume speaks for itself. I want a tough fight. I want a fight. It’s an exciting and motivating matchup against a fighter I’ve always admired. The atmosphere will be incredible.”

The fight between Vasily and George will take place on May 12. The event, which also includes two undercard fights, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, starting at approximately 5 a.m. Kyiv time.

Let us remember that in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world champion. In turn, Kambosos defeated Briton Maxi Hughes in his last fight, winning the IBO lightweight title.
