The American WBC lightweight champion wants to meet the Ukrainian boxer.

Shakur Stevenson has revealed his desire to fight IBF title holder Vasily Lomachenko.

The WBC lightweight world champion expressed his admiration for the Ukrainian’s latest victory over George Kambosos.

At the same time, the American boxer urged Lomachenko not to avoid fighting with him and to meet in the ring in the near future.

“I respect your style of boxing. I respect that you are a legend. But I don’t respect that you are not ready to fight me. Ukrainians are brave. Don’t hide behind Top Rank because it doesn’t look like you are brave .

I will say this: Loma is still a good fighter. Last night he showed his skills and I think he is a special fighter, one of those born once in a lifetime.

I hope that his team and the higher authorities will get out of the way and allow me to show my skills against him, because I believe that in style this is a confrontation between two of the greatest masters of chess.

In the meantime, look out for me on July 6th. Y’all forgot how good I am,” Stevenson wrote network X.
