Russian boxer Sergei Kovalev lost to the representative of Sweden, Robin Safar, in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
The light heavyweight fight ended with Safar winning by unanimous decision. In the final seconds of the tenth round, Kovalev was knocked down.
Kovalev, 41, suffered the fifth defeat of his career with 35 victories; he previously held the WBA, IBF and WBO light heavyweight championship belts. For Safar, 31, this victory was the 17th in 17 fights of his career.
