Alexander Krasyuk tells us which of his opponents the absolute champion spent the most effort to defeat.
Tyson Fury is not only the last, but also the toughest opponent for Oleksandr Usik. This was announced by the promoter of the Ukrainian boxer Alexander Krasyuk.
According to the functionary, the Briton has a very awkward boxing style and therefore it will be more difficult for the absolute champion to defeat him than, for example, Anthony Joshua.
“Tyson gave Usik a more difficult fight. I will explain why. Joshua was a more convenient opponent. He has a classic style. And this style is predictable.
Fury’s arms are long, he keeps his jaw clenched at all times, and it’s hard. Before you deliver a punch, you have to do a huge amount of work. This is the science of boxing. You need to find the key, so you need to use all the levels, move from side to side, and then you can deliver the hit. Therefore, you have to spend more energy to land a punch than in a classic fight,” said Krasyuk in an interview with Boxing King Media’s YouTube channel.
Let’s remember that Usyk beat Joshua twice by decision. The Ukrainian also defeated Tyson Fury by judges’ decision. This victory earned him the overall heavyweight championship.
It was previously reported that Usik was suspended from boxing after the fight with Fury.
