The cutman of the absolute world super heavyweight champion appreciates the scandalous act of the judge in the ring.

The ring judge saved Tyson Fury from losing by knockout in his fight with Alexander Usik. This is what Russ Anber, cutman of the absolute world heavyweight champion, said.

According to the specialist, referee Mark Nelson made a serious mistake in that episode. The referee intervened and began to count the Briton, who was still standing, although he had no right to do so.

“I don’t think he should have stopped. I don’t think the knockdown should have counted. Usyk should have finished Fury because he made him reel, he made him run.”

The referee has the option to stop the fight or allow Usyk to finish the job. This is what the referees tell the boxers in the locker room: “If you’re in trouble, put your knee on the ground, because I have no choice but to stop the fight,” Boxing News 24 quoted the cutman as saying.

Let’s remember that Usik’s victory over Fury brought him the absolute heavyweight championship. The fight went all 12 rounds. Usyk won by split decision – 115:112, 114:112, 113:114.

It was previously known what kind of injury Usik received in the fight with Fury.
