The Ukrainian boxer was seriously injured in the fight with the Briton, Tyson Fury.
Oleksandr Usyk has been temporarily suspended from boxing. This decision regarding the absolute world super heavyweight champion was made by the British Boxing Commission.
According to the BoxRec portal, the Ukrainian boxing license has been suspended until July 2 of this year.
The reasons for this decision were not stated, however, it is likely a preventive measure due to the injury Usik received in his last fight with Tyson Fury.

Information from the BBBoC website about the suspension of Oleksandr Usyk
Note that Usik’s license should be restored as soon as the Ukrainian boxer and his team prove that the athlete has recovered from his injuries. For this purpose, Usyk will be given an additional medical examination.
Let’s remember that Usik’s victory over Fury brought him the absolute heavyweight championship. The fight went all 12 rounds. Usyk won by split decision – 115:112, 114:112, 113:114.
Formerly famous boxer Tony Bellew was upset because Usik was stripped of his championship title.
