Russian fighter Timur Nikulin expressed confidence in victory Vladimir Minev above Magomed Ismailov and also expressed doubts about his ability to fight with any of them.
In mid-May, it was officially announced that Mineev and Ismailov would meet on July 20 in Moscow. The format of a boxing fight is 8 rounds of 3 minutes. Previously, Mineev and Ismailov fought two fights according to MMA rules – in 2018 (draw) and 2021 (win of Mineev).
The fight between Nikulin and Mineev was supposed to take place in the summer of 2022, the fighters even had a duel of views. The possibility of staging a fight between Nikulin and Ismailov was discussed in 2023.
– This is an expected fight, but I see Mineev as the favorite. He will win – that’s 100%. Besides, Kamil Gadzhiev organizes all this. But we also have to give grandfather Magomed a chance. I think that in this fundamental confrontation, Mineev will not relax and will fight.
– When are you going to fight one of them?
– This is the most difficult question. I will fight the winner of this duo. But I don’t think that will ever happen again. No one will give them that much. And I can’t believe Kamil Gadzhiev is giving them the amount they’re asking for. I think they fight purely on a brotherly basis. Mineev-Ismailov has been a brand since 2018,” Nikulin told .
Ismailov, 37, has 18 wins, 3 losses and a draw in MMA. Mineev, 34, has 16 victories, one defeat and one draw.
On May 23 in Togliatti, Nikulin will fight under K1 rules with Yakov Bukin at the Ural FC 7 tournament.
