Athletistic/MMA. Former UFC interim lightweight champion, American MMA fighter Dustin Poirier has admitted he may retire after his next fight. He will have a title fight with Russian Islam Makhachev.

“I’m not going to climb the career ladder again. I’ve been in this business for a long time.

We are talking about a selfish sport. I’m ready to be a father and a husband, ready to be at home, doing the routine.

Makhachev spoke about the fight plan with Poirier

This fight could be my last. I want to be happy with my career. I have to digest it and accept it if I lose.

But I try to see things from the better side. I want to make sure that I become the undisputed lightweight champion after my next fight. That would be a cool story,” Poirier said as quoted by Yahoo Sports.
