The Moscow Greco-Roman wrestling team took first place in the team rankings of the international sports games “Children of Asia”, which are held in Vladivostok.
On Sunday, seven sets of awards in this sport were played. Representatives of Moscow Ruslan Ortanov (up to 52 kg) and Mikhail Shkarin (up to 75 kg) won gold medals, Nikolai Kristov (up to 44 kg) and Martin Startsev (up to 92 kg) won silver, Timur Vakhhabov (up to 35 kg), Irakli won bronze Chkhapelia (up to 62 kg). Victories were also won by wrestlers from the Primorsky Territory team Edem Paiziev (up to 35 kg) and Islam Shanov (up to 38 kg), Khusinddin Abdukarimov from Uzbekistan (up to 44 kg), Egor Kalashnikov (UFO, up to 62 kg), and Alexander Mikhel (SFD, up to 92 kg).
The Moscow team scored 132 points, the second was the Uzbekistan team (122), the Primorsky Krai team (92) – the third.
The Ural Federal District taekwondo team on July 31 won two gold medals (girls up to 49 kg, boys up to 55 kg) and two silver medals. In other categories, the teams of the Far Eastern Federal District (boys, over 73 kg), the Siberian Federal District (girls, up to 63 kg) and Uzbekistan (boys, up to 73 kg) have won.
In athletics, athletes fought for 12 sets of medals, athletes from the Siberian Federal District won three gold medals, two from Uzbekistan and from the Ural Federal District. In table tennis in girls’ and boys’ doubles, the teams of the Urals Federal District won.
In rhythmic gymnastics competitions, group exercises with five balls and five ropes were won by athletes of the Moscow team. Anna Popova representing Moscow (hoop, ball, clubs) and Vera Tugolukova (ribbon) also excelled in some events in the final.
