Athletistic/ MMA. UFC President Dana White has called judge Dan Miragliotta’s decision to stop the fight between Russian Sergey Pavlovich and American Derrick Lewis in the first round a mistake.
“It was an early stoppage. But Dan Miragliotta is a great referee. When Derrick went down, 9 out of 10 people would stop that fight, myself included. Miragliotta made a mistake, but that happens sometimes. However, that doesn’t take away nothing on Derrick’s credit. I would love to see his next fights,” White said.
Pavlovich defeated Lewis via first-round TKO after just 55 seconds of the fight. The fight took place on the night of July 30-31 as part of the UFC 277 tournament in Las Vegas.
