The fight for the title of absolute world champion between Russians Dmitry Bivolome and Arthur Beterbiev will be held in Riyadh on October 12, said Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia Turki Al al-Sheikh.
On Sunday evening, Dmitry Bivol defeated Libyan Malik Zinad by technical knockout in the sixth round during a fight which took place in Saudi Arabia. The Russian defended his WBA title for the twelfth time.
Initially, Bivol was supposed to fight with Artur Beterbiev for the absolute champion title, but he was injured. Chairman of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia Turki Al al-Sheikh, immediately after the fight between Bivol and Zinad, said that Bivol and Beterbiev would fight in Riyadh on October 12.
