Athletistic/MMA. Russian mixed martial arts fighter Islam Makhachev defeated American Dustin Poirier by choke in the fifth round of UFC 302 in Newark (New Jersey, USA). After his fight ended, an unpleasant incident occurred involving another Russian fighter, Usman Nurmagomedov.
After Makhachev’s victory, Usman jumped the barrier and found himself in the octagon to celebrate Islam’s success with the hero of the occasion. However, the organizers did not like this and removed the Russian from the arena.
Islam Makhachev fought 27 fights in MMA – he won 26 victories and suffered one defeat. It is worth noting that Islam defended the UFC lightweight champion title for the third time in a row.
Usman Nurmagomedov is the Bellator lightweight champion. He has 17 victories in 18 fights (one of which was declared invalid due to a positive doping test by the Russian).
