Athletistic/MMA. Former UFC lightweight champion and organization Hall of Famer Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov reacted to his friend and compatriot Islam Makhachev’s victory at UFC 302. Makhachev defended his champion title in a fight with American Dustin Poirier.
“The fight went well, to be honest I wasn’t worried at all! (Laughs.)” – Sport Express reports Khabib’s comments.
The fight between Makhachev and Poirier ended with the Russian’s victory by choke in the fifth round. Islam defended the UFC lightweight championship belt for the third time in a row. Today, the 32-year-old Russian has 26 victories and one defeat in mixed martial arts. At the age of 35, Dustin Poirier has 30 wins and 9 losses. Note that one of these defeats was inflicted on him by Khabib Nurmagomedov.
