Former UFC lightweight champion Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov after the UFC 302 tournament in Newark (New Jersey, USA) spoke with the 45th President of the United States and candidate for the post of head of state in the 2024 elections, Donald Trump. The politician promised Habib to end the war in the Gaza Strip (a Palestinian enclave on the Mediterranean Sea).
“I know you will stop the entire Palestinian war,” Habib said during his meeting with Trump.
“Yes, we will stop it, I will certainly stop it,” the politician replied.
In the main fight of the UFC 302 tournament, Russian Islam Makhachev defended the title of the organization’s lightweight division. Early in the morning of June 2, he forced the American Dustin Poirier to capitulate with a choke in the 5th round.
Khabib Nurmagomedov finished his career as a professional athlete in the fall of 2020. He remained undefeated with 29 victories in 29 fights.
