Russian fighter Magomed Ismailov promised a knockout victory over the AMC Fight Nights middleweight champion Vladimir Mineev.
In mid-May it was officially announced that the rivals would fight on July 20 in Moscow according to the rules of boxing in the form of 8 rounds of 3 minutes each. Previously, they conducted two fights according to MMA rules – in 2018 (draw) and 2021 (victory of Mineev).
— On the 11th our first meeting with Vladimir will take place (we haven’t seen each other for a long time), and it will take place in Dagestan! After that – the city of Ulyanovsk, then Moscow, then I will knock him out. I think it will be fun! — wrote Ismailov on the social network.
The 37-year-old Ismailov’s record includes 18 wins, three losses and one draw in MMA. Mineev, 34, has 16 victories, one defeat and one draw.
