Russians Inal Tasoev And Madina Taimazova will perform at the Summer Olympics in Paris, reports the press service of the Russian Judo Federation.
Tasoev will perform in the weight category over 100 kg, Taymazova – up to 70 kg.
The men’s team also included: Ramazan Abdulaev (up to 60 kg), Murad Chopanov (up to 66 kg), Danil Lavrentyev (up to 73 kg), Timur Arbuzov (up to 81 kg), Mikhail Igolnikov (up to 90 kg) and Matvey Kanikovsky (up to 100 kg).
The women’s team will also be represented by: Sabina Gilyazova (up to 48 kg), Daria Kurbonmamadova (up to 57 kg), Dali Liluashvili (up to 63 kg) and Eliz Startseva (over 78 kg).
The games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced in December 2023 that it would allow Russian athletes who successfully qualified for the 2024 Olympics to have individual neutral status without a flag, anthem or other national symbol. The IOC also banned the participation of athletes associated with security forces or who have expressed support for the SVO.
