The Ukrainian boxer admitted that it was difficult for him to eat a lot to stay in the super heavyweight division.

Oleksandr Usyk can change the weight category again. And if there’s nowhere else to go, the undefeated undisputed heavyweight champion of the world could return to the heavyweight division.

According to journalist Michael Benson, Alexander considers this opportunity to try for the second time to become the undisputed champion of the world according to the versions of WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.

Let’s remember that earlier the 37-year-old Ukrainian complained that it was difficult for him to maintain weight within the heavyweight division.

“I think after the rematch I can go down in weight to cruiserweight. Maybe that’s my plan. When I started training camp… I was constantly eating. It’s hard for me. I don’t like it – shakes, water, protein, bananas… But bananas are delicious, I love bananas,” said Usyk.

However, the change in weight category will not happen before the rematch of the Ukrainian against Tyson Fury, scheduled for December 21, 2024.

We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999.

Earlier, Usik’s promoter denied rumors about the Ukrainian’s retirement.
