Former Filipino eight-weight boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao will fight against Japanese Rizin featherweight champion Chihiro Suzuki, reports the press service of the Japanese promotion.
A three-round fight according to the rules of boxing will take place on July 28 in Saitama (Japan) as part of the Super Rizin 3 tournament. The format of the fight is three rounds of three minutes each, the weight category goes up to at 65.8 kg. .
Pacquiao, 45, has a record of 62 victories (39 by KO), eight defeats (3 by KO) and two draws in professional boxing. In 2021, he lost to Yordenis Ugas.
Suzuki, 25, has 13 victories in mixed martial arts, suffered three defeats and one of his fights was declared invalid. In kickboxing, he won 12 fights with one defeat.
