Legendary Filipino boxer, former world champion in eight weight classes Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KO) will fight with the champion RIZIN MMA Chihiro Suzuki.

The exhibition match will take place on July 28 in Japan. The fight will take place according to boxing rules with a weight limit of 150 pounds (68.04 kilograms).

It was previously reported that 45-year-old Pacquiao was considering the possibility of a fight against American Mario Barrios. The Filipino wanted to return to the professional ring and compete for the WBC welterweight world title.

Let us remind you that Pacquiao announced his desire to return to professional boxing in August 2023. He also planned to take part in the Paris Olympics, achieving “universal” entry despite the age limit of 40 years. However, the International Olympic Committee denied this request to the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Pacquiao has officially announced his retirement in 2021. In his last fight, “Pac Man” lost to Yordenis Ugas by decision. Later, in the fall of 2023, Ugas lost to the aforementioned Barrios in a fight for the interim WBC title.
