Jake Paul will fight Mike Perry in a boxing match on July 20

The BKFC fighter, previously known for his performances in the UFC, will replace Tyson’s namesake in this event, whose fight with Paul was postponed to November

Famous YouTube blogger and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) received a new opponent instead Mike Tyson for the boxing evening on July 20th. Jake’s opponent will be Mike Perry (0-1), formerly a famous UFC fighter who later switched to fist fighting.

Previously, Mike refused to compete against an unknown opponent on the undercard of the Paul-Tyson fight, which was supposed to take place at the AT&T Stadium arena in Arlington, Texas, USA. Now the 32-year-old athlete has a chance to fight a status opponent in one of the main boxing matches of the summer. An official announcement is expected soon.

Let us remind you that the fight between 27-year-old Jake and “Iron Mike” was postponed due to health complications in the boxing legend, who will turn 58 at the end of July. It was assumed that the fight between Tyson and Paul would be held as an exhibition fight, but it would take place on standard boxing rules. Subsequently, the fight officially received professional status.

Subsequently, this fight received a new date – November 15. The location of the event remains unchanged. The undercard will feature a rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

Perry competed in mixed martial arts from 2014 to 2020, with a record of 14 wins and 7 losses (including 7-7 in the UFC). Subsequently, he switched to fist fights and has been playing in the BKFC league since 2022 – five wins in five fights. Mike had his only boxing match so far in 2015, losing by knockout to Kenneth McNeil.
