The former world champion shared his thoughts about our state’s war against terrorists from the aggressor country.

Alexander Gvozdyk said how difficult it is now for the residents of Ukraine during the war. The former world champion also believes that it is very important for Ukrainians that athletes achieve success in order to see the flag of our state.

At the same time, the boxer spoke about two realities that currently exist in Ukraine.

“I have been there many times in Ukraine, doing charity work and helping the Ukrainian military, repairing military trucks, supplying ammunition.

It’s bad there. You must understand that there are two different realities in Ukraine. In western Ukraine you still see cool cars, nightclubs are open, people are having fun. In the south, cities were bombed and destroyed. You cannot stay in one place for more than a few minutes.

It’s a shame that no one seems to be talking about what’s happening in Ukraine anymore.

For me, it is psychologically important that people see the Ukrainian flag and know that Ukrainians are fighting the aggressor. We will fight until the end.

The success of Ukrainians in the ring is motivation for Ukrainians. It gives more hope to my country.

People need to know that we still exist and will always exist,” Gvozdyk was quoted as saying by The Ring.

We remind you that on June 15, Gvozdyk will fight David Benavidez for the interim WBC light heavyweight champion.

Earlier, Gvozdyk and Benavidez had a conflict of views.
