Former world champion and Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan advised the Briton not to seek a rematch against the Ukrainian.
Tyson Fury should not agree to a rematch against Oleksandr Usik. Former world champion and Hall of Famer Barry McGuigan thinks so.
An authoritative specialist believes that the second fight will be even worse for the Briton than the first. McGuigan even predicted a knockout for Fury.
“Fury is a good boxer, but he needs to be alone now. Usyk is too good a boxer for him.
Tyson is about to be knocked out and is unlikely to do much better in a rematch. I think Usyk will knock him out in the tenth round in the next fight.
I think the next fight will be similar to the first, the only difference is that Fury will not relive what happened in the ninth round of the first fight,” McGuigan told Pro Boxing Fans.
The rematch between Usik and Fury is scheduled for December 21 and should also take place in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999.
Earlier, the world champion in two weight categories, Timothy Bradley, expressed admiration for Usyk.
