Russian mixed martial arts fighter Grigor Matevosyan has said he hopes to win a fight with compatriot Muslim Magomedov.
The ACA 177 tournament will take place in Sirius on June 28, where in the main fight Matevosyan will try to take revenge on the former ACA light heavyweight champion Muslim Magomedov. The previous fight in March 2022 ended with Magomedov winning via fourth-round armbar.
“I looked into Muslim’s eyes and saw a new motivation for me. I realized that I would have to fight the champion again, and this time prove that I was the best. For the rematch with Magomedov, I am much calmer psychologically and morally, I am 100% ready for the fight. I started preparing properly and have much better endurance and tenacity. Among Magomedov’s strong points, I can only name wrestling.
There is very little time left before the rematch. All I have to do is put on weight and show what I can do. June 28, Sochi, I am waiting for your support. This fight will be very spectacular, I promise you! “I will take zero from the column of Muslim defeats,” said Matevosyan, whose remarks were provided to by the organizers.
Magomedov has 13 victories and not a single defeat. Matevosyan has 12 wins and three losses.
