Former WBC interim lightweight world champion, American Ryan Garcia, announced his retirement from boxing on social media.
In April, Garcia inflicted his first defeat on American WBC champion Devin Haney. It was later learned that Garcia had passed a positive doping test and was facing a lengthy disqualification. The result of his fight with Haney could be overturned.
– I’m officially done [карьеру]. There is so much corruption here that I have come to accept it. I can play or sing. “I’m still going to train, but unfortunately I’m done,” Garcia wrote on social media.
Garcia is 25 years old and has 25 wins and one loss in his professional career.
