Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Vitaly Kabaloev won a silver medal at the BRICS Games in Kazan.
In the weight category up to 55 kg, he defeated Farid Sadikhli from Azerbaijan. Competitions in this weight were held on a round-robin basis. Gold in this weight category was won by Iskhar Kurbaev (Kazakhstan), bronze by Ikhtior Bitirov (Uzbekistan).
Also in the fight for the bronze medal in the weight category up to 97 kg, Russian Nikolai Khomenko won, defeating Erzat Erlanov from Kazakhstan with a score of 3:0.
