The Russian boxer defeated his Azerbaijani opponent Seyid Seyidov in the final of the BRICS Games.
Following the results of a three-round fight in the weight category up to 86 kg, the judges unanimously gave victory to the Russian. Muhammed Dursunov (Kyrgyzstan) and Shokhzhakhon Abdullaev (Uzbekistan) won the bronze medals.
In the final in the weight category up to 92 kg, Russian Ramazan Khanapiev lost by unanimous decision to Madiyar Saidrakhimov of Uzbekistan. Parvriz Karimov (Tajikistan) and Vatan Husseinli (Azerbaijan) share third place.
In the weight category above 92 kg, Russian David Surov won bronze and Arsen Dzhioev of South Ossetia also received a bronze medal. In the final, Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov defeated Vladislav Smyaglikov, who represents Belarus, by unanimous decision.
