The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has lifted sanctions against Russian athletes and reinstated them in the rankings, the press service of RCC Boxing Promotions told .
According to the organization’s general director, German Titov, the decision was made in mid-June.
The IBF rankings include Russians Imam Khataev, Vasily Voitsekhovsky, Ali Ismailov, Vladimir Shishkin and Zaur Abdullaev. The IBF championship belts are held by Russians Artur Beterbiev and Bakhram Murtazaliev.
Thus, Russian boxers are present in the IBF, WBA, WBO rankings. Only the WBC still does not include Russian boxers in its rankings. Additionally, the WBA was the first of the major organizations to allow title fights in Russia.
