UFC fighter Tsarukyan suspended 9 months for clash with fan

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) disqualified and fined the Russian fighter Arman Tsarukyan for a fight with a fan during the UFC 300 tournament, MMA Junkie reporter Nolan King reported on social media.

Tsarukyan, 27, was suspended for nine months until January 12, 2025. His ban could be reduced to six months if he produces a video for an “anti-bullying” campaign. The fighter was fined $25,000 and must pay $470 to cover court costs.

As journalist John Morgan notes, the commission found that “the incident could have had catastrophic consequences for everyone involved” and that “repeated violations would be punished much more harshly.”

On April 13 in Las Vegas, Tsarukyan, while entering a fight with Brazilian Charles Oliveira at the UFC 300 tournament, tried to hit a fan in the stands who showed him the middle finger. After winning the fight, Tsarukyan explained his action at a press conference, calling it unacceptable behavior from a spectator.

Tsarukyan has 22 wins and three losses during his mixed martial arts career.
