The American offers Vasily to go down to the second featherweight
WBO and WBC super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) said he was ready to fight against the ex-world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs).
“We can have this fight at any time. Lomachenko is quite a big name, and he was in the P4P rating. You must respect him for this. We can organize this fight early next year.”
“Now we are not in the same division. He could drop down to second featherweight right now and it’s going to be a huge fight. I feel that light weight is not native to him. The second featherweight seems more realistic to him. We are about the same size.”
As Top Rank previously reported, Lomachenko’s next fight is scheduled for October 22.
At the same time, Eddie Hearn called a possible duel between Lomachenko and Devin Haney “grand”.
Lomachenko fought his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision.
Subsequently, Lomachenko could fight George Kambosos, but pulled out against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
