Tyson is ready to fight the winner of the rematch between the Ukrainian and the British
Head of promotional company Top Rank Bob Arum spoke about the organization of the fight of the world champion according to the WBC heavyweight title Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) with the winner of the second fight between the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles Oleksandr Usyk and former champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs).
“I know deep down that Fury would love to fight the winner. [поединка Усик — Джошуа]. Tyson is ready to fight anyone who wins this fight.”
“It seems to me that Tyson does not want to retire until he decides on the issue of a fight for the title of absolute world champion. We are waiting for the outcome of the meeting between Usyk and Joshua, and then everything will be decided by Fury.”
Tyson announced his retirement from professional football after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.
Fury has previously stated that he wants to hold exhibition fights and plans to meet with Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last fall, Alexander defeated Anthony via unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
