The former heavyweight champion reiterated his desire to step into the ring against his compatriot.
Anthony Joshua says he wants to fight Tyson Fury. According to the British boxer, his compatriot continues to avoid fighting with him.
Joshua called on Fury to stop avoiding the fight and make the two former world champions fight.
“It doesn’t matter to me whether he wins or loses to Usik, I just want to fight him – all this avoids many – he doesn’t fight many the highest class. Let him end this, let him come out and box with me, it’s unacceptable to waste my time like that, and not wait until I’m 40-41-42 years old.
He put himself in such conditions that he had to make his own decisions. And I already know what the fans want. We tried to make sure the match happened, the contract was signed, and then the contract was broken. We had a contract signed for the fight with Wilder… I always make moves, thinking ahead. I hope that after this fight we can have that fight.
To show Fury what level we both are at, I wouldn’t mind fighting Ngannou as well. “Fury fought him? I’ll fight him too.” I tried to fight the same opponents that Fury fought against to show that we were on the same level,” Joshua was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.
Let’s remember that Joshua previously called Fury an idiot who didn’t deserve to be perfect.
