MMA fighter and world kickboxing champion Konstantin Glukhov told that he would receive a passport as a citizen of the Russian Federation under the compatriots repatriation program.
The 44-year-old fighter has been practicing mixed martial arts since 2006, combining MMA fights with kickboxing fights. For most of his career, Glukhov has represented Latvia, having been born in Riga after his parents moved there before the collapse of the USSR. During his career, Glukhov has fought with Alexander Emelianenko, Vladimir Mineev and Kenny Garner. In 2023, the athlete announced his intention to renounce Latvian citizenship in order to obtain a Russian passport.
