On Friday, Glukhov, who renounced Latvian citizenship, received a Russian passport at the Migration Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow. As the athlete himself clarifies, he became the first to receive citizenship under the new federal repatriation program. Previously, Glukhov repeatedly performed at Russian tournaments and held main event fights in the M-1 and Fight Nights promotions.

In addition to his kickboxing career, Glukhov, 44, has competed in 52 professional MMA fights (35 wins and 17 losses). He already met Emelianenko in 2012, then Alexander won the fight by unanimous decision.
