World Champion Kickboxer and MMA Fighter Konstantin Glukhov who renounced Latvian citizenship, received a passport of the Russian Federation.
In 2023, Glukhov said he would like to become a Russian citizen and give up his Latvian passport. Previously, the athlete repeatedly participated in Russian tournaments and held main fights in the M-1 and Fight Nights promotions. On June 28, at the Migration Department of the Main Directorate of the Moscow Interior Ministry in Glukhov, the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation was presented. As the athlete himself clarifies, he became the first to receive citizenship under the new federal repatriation program.
In addition to his kickboxing career, Glukhov, 44, has competed in 52 professional MMA fights (35 wins and 17 losses). Konstantin fought with Alexander Emelianenko, Vladimir Mineev and Kenny Garner.
