Mike Tyson: Usyk Is Elite From Amateur Boxing, But Joshua Has Huge Balls

Iron Mike gave his prediction for the fight between Alexander and Anthony

Former World Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson spoke about the upcoming fight of the holder of the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) with ex-champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs)

“Joshua’s job is to wear down the opponent. The task is to exhaust and beat. No attempts to outbox. What he wants is not boxing, but fighting.”

“Usyk is very difficult to hit. He is not just an amateur boxer, he is an elite amateur boxer. And dudes like Joshua are always very uncomfortable to work with, because they offer a lot of movement, feints and other things.

“Do you know why Anthony is still dangerous? Anthony has incredible potential. He continues to learn all the tricks of boxing. These should never be written off. His jab should be sharp and dangerous. And he needs to pick up the pace. Just a little, but necessary. This dude has incredible potential – Joshua has huge balls.”

Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk believes that Anthony Joshua will show stronger boxing in the rematch than in the first fight.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Anthony by unanimous decision and became the world heavyweight champion for the first time.
