Athletistic / MMA. UFC president Dana White has weighed in on the possibility of a fight between Brazilian light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and Russian Magomed Ankalaev.
“I like the idea of such a fight. Maybe we’ll have a similar fight,” MMA Junkie quoted White as saying.
On the night of June 30, the UFC 303 mixed martial arts tournament took place in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). In the main fight of the event, Alex Pereira knocked out Czech Jiri Prochazka and defended the promotion’s champion title. Magomed Ankalaev is currently ranked second in the UFC rankings in the light heavyweight category.
Alex Pereira has 11 wins and two losses in MMA. He was previously the UFC middleweight champion.
Magomed Ankalaev fought 21 mixed martial arts fights – won 19 victories, suffered one defeat and another fight ended in a draw.
