Fury learned his lesson at great cost – former champion

Johnny Nelson believes that the British boxer paid for underestimating Alexander Usik.

If Tyson Fury really underestimated Oleksandr Usik, he learned a good lesson, however, at a very high cost. This is how former world champion Johnny Nelson responded to the words of the British boxer.

He also said that in this case he expects Fury to have a more significant performance in the rematch against the Ukrainian.

“You know, in sports they say a lot. Journalists need to understand that because that’s what they need in clickbait. As for Fury, he will say what he says.

But there was a phase in Usik’s fight where Fury hit and hurt him. If it was like Fury said, if he really took the fight, he was wrong to think this fight would be easy – he learned his lesson at the greatest cost.

If this is true, we will wait for Tyson, who we saw from the fourth to the eighth round,” Nelson told Boxing Social.

We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999. The rematch is scheduled for December 21st.

Earlier, Ricky Hatton responded to Fury, counting his victory against Usyk.
