Frank Warren expects his ward to do better in the second match against the Ukrainian.
Alexander Usik did not deserve to become the absolute world heavyweight champion, because in fact he did not beat Tyson Fury in the fight. This is what British boxer promoter Frank Warren thinks.
This is how the functionary responded to Anthony Joshua’s words that Tyson Fury needs to show more respect to Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch.
Warren reminded AJ that he failed Usyk twice.
“Let’s see if Tyson Fury can do what Anthony Joshua can’t. AJ hasn’t beaten Usyk in two fights. Let’s see if Tyson can prove everyone wrong on December 21. The only thing I can say for sure is that undefeated Usyk. Fury in the first fight,” Warren told Seconds Out.
We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999. The rematch is scheduled for December 21st.
Previously, Joshua had called Fury an idiot who didn’t deserve to be perfect.
