UFC American Lightweight Michael Chandler said he was offered a fight with the division champion Islam Makhachev in October.
Chandler was originally supposed to fight former two-time UFC champion Conor McGregor, but the fight fell through due to the Irishman suffering a pinky finger injury.
“I was offered to fight Makhachev in October, but if the “pinky finger” is ready by September, let’s do it! The biggest event in the history of sports!” — Chandler wrote on the social network.
Chandler is ranked sixth in the UFC lightweight division. His overall record is 23 wins and 8 losses. Makhachev’s record is 26 wins and 1 loss.
