Athletistic / MMA. MMA fighter Congressman Jeff Monson shared his thoughts on the possibility of hosting a UFC tournament in Russia. Monson suggested that this option is real, given the apolitical nature of the organization’s leader, Dana White.

“You can organize a UFC tournament in Russia. Dana White is not interested in politics. He is a businessman. He only cares about promoting the UFC. If White thinks he can organize a good UFC tournament in the United States, he will do it,” Sport-Express quotes Monson.

Monson on name change: ‘I’ll think about it, but I don’t want to change anything’

Recall that the organization’s tournaments have already been held in Russia. The last UFC tournament in Russia took place in November 2019. Then, in the main event of the evening, Russian Zabit Magomedsharipov defeated American Calvin Kattar.

At the same time, the UFC has not yet held tournaments with title fights in Russia.
