Russian Boxing Federation Suspends Hardcore League License After Scandal

The Russian Boxing Federation has temporarily suspended the license of the Hardcore Fighting Championship league due to the statements of Azerbaijani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Javid Rzayev against Russian Artur Kulinsky, the organization’s press service reports.

At the Moscow tournament, which took place on June 22, Rzaev defeated Russian Sergei Prikhodko. After that, he started an argument with Kulinskiy, who was in the hall, calling him a “Russian pig.”

— By the decision of the Russian Boxing Federation, the license of Hardcore FC has been temporarily suspended. The organization must also eliminate the identified violations and pay a fine in accordance with the regulations. In addition, Hardcore FC will compensate for the damage caused to the business reputation of the Russian Boxing Federation.

We remind you that in case of violation of the regulations, the league license may be revoked. Law enforcement is also conducting an investigation into the actions committed by the Hardcore FC fighter,” the federation said in a statement.

Earlier it became known that the Russian Boxing Federation filed a statement with the Prosecutor General’s Office and disqualified Rzayev.
