On Saturday, the press service of the Russian Wrestling Federation reported that Russian wrestlers, who had received an invitation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), had refused to participate in the 2024 Summer Games in Paris.
— Our number of licenses has been reduced to two, all the main athletes have been removed. What is the point of going there? We fully support the decision of our federation, it is fair. We have no business at the Olympics without an anthem and a flag. Why go there like vagabonds? – Koguashvili told .
The games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11.
