Russian boxer Muslim Gadjimagomedov has vowed to knock out his Chinese opponent Zhang Zhaoxin in a fight for the vacant WBA world title.
Two-time world champion and 2020 Olympic silver medalist Gadzhimagomedov (3-0, KO 2) will fight for the vacant WBA bridgeweight world title with Zhaoxin (12-2-1, KO 7) on July 12 in Serpukhov. The fight will headline the “League of Betting” show. IBA Champions Night.
“Zhaoxin is a patient boxer, he takes a lot of punches, but then can counterattack. But he should expect a very difficult fight, which probably won’t last until the end. It will be difficult for the opponent. Basically, I promise to win a quick victory. I think we will finish the fight in the 10th round. First we need to pick up the belt, and then find a place for it,” the correspondent reports, citing Gadzhimagomedov’s words.
