Russian mixed martial arts fighter Jeff Monson spoke about a photo of him wearing a T-shirt with banned Nazi symbols.
Earlier, Monson posted on a social network a photo wearing a T-shirt with a swastika and the caption “fascism then,” next to a Star of David with the inscription “fascism now.” Later, the Mash Batash Telegram channel reported that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation would check Monson in connection with the display of Nazi symbols.
“It seems that some people are trying to use false propaganda to mislead people and present me in a very negative light.” However, the essence of the T-shirt is simple and clear: fascism is evil! After all, it was the heroic efforts of the Russian people during the Great Patriotic War that helped the world eradicate and exterminate fascism that arose in Nazi Germany.
Unfortunately, today, after so many years, the threat of fascism reappears in the world. Ironically, it is Israel, a country victimized by the Nazis, that is today committing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine with the support of the United States.
Many Jews in Israel and beyond oppose the government’s actions and the legitimacy of the destruction in the Gaza Strip, where most children and women are killed. This T-shirt is an expression of protest against the evil and hatred of fascism in all its manifestations!
I am sorry if my actions disappointed the fascists and Zionists who expected me to apologize for wearing this T-shirt. However, I will never apologize for the fight against fascism – not in Nazi Germany, not in Ukraine, not in Palestine. In such moments, we must stand side by side, shoulder to shoulder, in the fight against the enemy. Monson wrote on the social network VKontakte .
Monson surrendered his American passport in 2023 and now has only Russian citizenship.
