Russian freestyle wrestler Shamil Mamedov accepted the invitation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC ) to perform at the Paris Games, according to the IOC website.
The Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) announced last week that Russian wrestlers would not compete in the French capital.
As it follows from the information published on the IOC website, eight wrestlers have rejected previously accepted invitations. However, Mamedov is still considered an athlete who has agreed to participate in the Games.
The games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11.
